Tea Cookies

Class by Alex ZOHAR

Supply

Fimo #17 Ochre
         # 00 Transparent
          #15 Yellow
Chalks
Brass tubing approximately 3/8” diameter or a small diameter straw, depending on the size of cookie you want
Soft brush
Glue & Red Paint OR Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramic Paint
Stamps - manufactured, leather tool, jewellery, etc.

step 1

Mix fimo colours together for a cookie dough shade.

Using a pasta machine or a rolling pin, roll the fimo out so it is 1/16” thick.  Place on a tile.

step 2

Using brass tubing or straw, press into the fimo, and give a slight twist, to form the cookies.

Step 3
Remove the Fimo from  your baking tile.

Step 4
Using old jewellery or any item which will give a pattern, press into each cookie, so that it has a design on top.

Step 5
Using any item, such as the end of a brush or a piece of dowelling, press into the center of each cookie, so that jam can be placed in the depression.

Step 6
Mix chalk colours together

Step 7
Using a soft brush, apply the chalks to the top of each cookies.l

Step 8
There are a number of ways to make the jam.  If you have Paint & Bake ceramic paint, this can be placed in the center of each cookie and then baked at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.  OR, the cookies can be baked, and then mix an equal amount of white glue with acrylic paint, and then applied to the depression of each cookie.

Step 9
Arrange your cookies on a plate, and if you have a three tiered petit-four plate, you can make the other items shown in the picture…the instructions are elsewhere in the classroom.  Doesn’t it look yummy???  mmmmmmm
