Draw out an elongated oval shape on cardboard.
Because slippers aren't fitted like shoes are, there doesn't have to be a 'foot shape'. Cut out two elongated ovals. Put one on top of another and trim so that they are an identical pair.

It is obvious that the length of the sole will determine the size. If the sole was 3/4", then it would fit a foot which was 8" in length. The example would be about a size 7. Make the sole smaller for a child, and larger to fit a man.

Cut a length of pipe cleaner long enough to go all around the sole. In this case, the pipe cleaner was just slightly over 2" in length.
Apply glue all around the outside edge of the sole. Starting at the heel, glue the pipe cleaner in place, curving it around the toe and meeting back at the heel.
Measure across the toe area of the slipper and cut a piece of pipe cleaner that length. Glue in place.

Apply 3 seed beads to the toe area.
If you wish, you can make a bow from ribbon or lace; or apply an artificial flower to the area.

By changing the size, changing the color of the pipe
cleaner, and changing the addition of trim,
you can make slippers for the entire family!
