Orange class

Lesson By Alex Zohar

Materials

Fimo Classic #4,Pastel chalk Leaf green, Ruler, Metal file, Craft knife, Brush

Step 1

Soften fimo, form into a ball and work with your hands until it is pliable, then form into a cylinder, approximately 1/4" in diameter.

Step #2
Place your cylinder, which is approximately 5 mm., next oi a ruler and with craft knife, divide the cylinder into equal pieces (1 cm) long.

Step #3

Roll each small cylinder into a small, smooth ball.  Texturize each ball by gently rolling it on a metal file.  This will give the oranges 'dimples'.

TIP:  At this point leave your work for half an hour and let it cool.  You will find it much easier to handle in the next step without removing the texturizing.

Step #4

After your orange has been texurized and cooled, use your craft knife to make 4 indentations at the top of the orange.

Step #5

Rub your pastel chalk on a piece of paper to make a powder.  Using a soft brush, dip into the chalk and then place the color in the center of your indentation, carefully blending the colour along the indentation lines.

Step #6
Bake your oranges at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
