Candy Apple Class (Pg.2)

Previous Page

Step #9
Place the apples on parchment paper on a tray and bake in a 265 degree F. oven for 10 minutes.

Step #10
Remove a small amount of red oil based paint from tube.

Step #11
Mix 1 part of the Red oil-based paint with 2 parts of the liquid fimo in a small cup

Step #12
Pick the baked apple up by the stick using tweezers.

Step #13
Dunk the apple into the red mixture, NOT ALL THE WAY.  Allow the green
to show at the bottom of the apple.

Step #14
Put the candy apples on a miniature tray.  Bake at 260 degrees F. for 10 minutes.
When these have cooled right down, apply gloss to the RED ONLY.

Finish Prodact
Using the same steps, brown oil-based paint could be used in place of the red to make caramel apples.

In the Candy Store
These are now ready to be offered for sale in a candy shop, or on a table by the door for the Trick or Treaters who come by the house on Halloween, or at a Hallowe'en party!
